Left Turn Farm was a longstanding dream of Andy & Tanya Nicholls. They lived just down Lake Mary Jane Rd on the lake for many years and had been searching for the perfect place to create their little slice of heaven.
After looking at many different properties in the area, as luck would have it this 10 acre property down the road became available in 2016.
The first stage was to build the barn and outbuildings, while preparing the ground for pastures. This was a series of projects over the next 4 years.
In the meantime, research continued on the best ways to add bees and chickens to a small farm in central Florida.
The next stage was to gradually bring in the bees and chickens to work out the many variables. Nothing is ever as simple as it seems and there are always the little details that one must consider, especially when it comes to caring for living creatures.
Our goal has always been to provide the bees and chickens with everything they need to produce the best quality raw, wild Florida honey and farm fresh eggs.
We’ve succeeded in reaching those goals and now strive to maintain and improve what we’ve started.
